Whilst doing some research for a nativity script he was writing (don’t ask), Alec Feldman made a shocking discovery – national treasure Sir Lenny Henry, known for his comedy, charity work and being the guy in the Premier Inn adverts – has been lying to us all.

How has he been lying to us, I hear you ask? He’s been lying about his name! Because the real name of the person we all know as Lenny Henry is...

Lenworth.

That’s right! Lenny is short for Lenworth. This piece of information blew Alec’s mind, and he set out to discover what other names could be lengthened to make them sound more distinguished. His best personal contribution was turning the name "Scott" into Scotland, but his listeners did not disappoint.

Hear the great names they made longer by pressing play below!
