Jimmie Allen’s story is one of hard work, dedication and persistence, and of course, unabashed talent.

Born and raised in Delaware, USA, Allen spent 10 years trying to make it as a singer/songwriter, at some points experiencing poverty and having to live out of his car. He worked many jobs, as a garbage collector, a mechanic (for 5 minutes until they realised that he knew nothing about cars), and even featured in an advert starring Taylor Swift.

It was only in early 2018 with the release of his first official single did Jimmie’s talent finally get acknowledged, and country music is forever better for it.

His single “Best Shot” made the Hot Country Songs and Billboard Hot 100 charts and gave Jimmie his first nN. 1 when it reached the top position of the Country Airplay chart in November 2018.

Earlier this year Jimmie teamed up with fellow country artist and W!ZARD Radio Station Rising Country alumnus, Abby Anderson, for a breath-taking rendition of A Star is Born’s “Shallow”, and even performed it live for the first time together on the Spotlight Stage of Country 2 Country Festival in London this past March.

The drive and determination that saw him wait 10 years for recognition still shines through him – he’s humble, grateful and he’s never forgotten where he’s come from, even calling his debut album Mercury Lane after the street he grew up on in Delaware.
