Lindsay Ell has had a busy year. In the words of James Gilmore - she's one of the most hard-working artists out there, and he’s not wrong; Lindsay has played 235 shows this year and she’s not slowing down anytime soon.
Lindsay is not a one-trick pony, in fact Guitar World has called her “a true triple threat.” Not only is she an incredible singer and a prolific songwriter, she is also one mean guitarist. She often cites fellow country guitarists as her greatest inspirations, such as Keith Urban and Brad Paisley. The admiration is obviously reciprocated, as she’s toured with both artists and even has a song with Urban on his album 'Graffiti U' called 'Horses', which Ell called an “oh my gosh moment.”

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta in Canada, Lindsay Ell started performing at the Calgary Stampede at the age of 10 and has returned to her old stomping ground every year since. One year she went so far as to play 68 shows at the Stampede in 10 days. After graduating a year early from high school, as valedictorian no less, Ell went on to study business and music at university, and then moved to Nashville at the age of 21. She was signed to Stoney Creek Records, the label she still calls home, and in December 2013 released her first official single, 'Trippin’ on Us' which made it to the top 50 in US country airplay.
Since then, Lindsay has released two albums, 'The Project' and 'The Continuum Project', both produced by friend and mentor Kristian Bush of Sugarland.

'The Project' features singles such as 'Waiting on You', 'Champagne' and 'Criminal', with the latter reaching #19 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and also peaking at no. 1 on the Canada Country chart, which made Ell the first single by a Canadian female artist to do so since 2008.
