As Chairman of the 1922 Committee, Sir Graham Brady is one of the most powerful Conservative MPs, a role he has undertaken since 2010 under four different Prime Ministers. In December 2010, The Spectator voted Brady has the "Backbencher of the Year" at its annual parliamentary awards. He also serves as the MP for Altrincham and Sale West, having been re-elected 7 times since 1997.
