Whether you’ve lost your house keys, a loved one or just your marbles, this is a space where Hannah Conda and her guests get humorously vulnerable. You may know the damsel from Down Under best from being the runner-up on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World... and landing in the same spot in RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under! But whatever the reason, kick back, listen and cackle along every Tuesday for new episodes.
This drag superstar is not just an idol, she's literally one of the reasons Hannah Conda is a drag queen! We have Perth queen BarbieQ on What's Loss Got To Do With It to talk about pre-emptive loss.
Barbie has been a leader of drag in Perth for over 25 years! Starting off as a child dancer, she has toured around the world as a dancer for Princess Cruises before becoming the manager of the world renowned Connections Nightclub in Perth.
She has also won multiple Perth Proud Awards including Entertainer of the Year, Perths Favourite Drag Queen and Best Production Show and is also a multiple FRINGEWORLD nominee and award winner.
On this week's episode, Hannah and Barbie talk about the importance of taking drag seriously, giving back to your community and the idea of pre-emptive loss - valuing what you have by contemplating potential future losses.
Barbecue also talks about her experiences at Connections Nightclub, one of the longest-running gay clubs in the Southern Hemisphere, and her dedication to giving back by performing for elderly communities.
