Au/Ra

Au/Ra is the pop artist who you already know, even if you don’t think you do.

Her single “Panic Room” is massively viral (it’s been used over 500K times on TikTok!) and her collaboration with Jax Jones, “i miss u”, has been streamed over 100M times on Spotify alone. The Antiguan-German singer songwriter has also charted on the UK Charts (TWICE!) and has collaborated with Alan Walker (on a song which has over 500M global streams), Alok, Cheat Codes and more.

So, very accomplished and a trustworthy provider of pop hits.

After the release of her 2021 debut album, “Soundtrack To An Existential Crisis”, Au/Ra is back with her new single, “plz don’t waste my youth”. The single, which is quickly reaching 1M streams globally, is a commentary of the moment you reach 18 years old and realise that you haven’t yet figured out what you want from life, and that maybe your teenage years are coming to an end.

Beginning what Au/Ra has called a new era, “plz don’t waste my youth” serves not only as a strong reminder of just the incredible talent this artist is but is also a repeat-worthy pop bop in its own right.

On our weekly radio show in partnership with SheSources, Emma Stern sat down with Au/Ra to talk about life as a creative, having hits, the stress of social media and more.
